North Shore


64 Acres Park
Just south of the “Y” in Tahoe City, Hwy 89. This park offers parking for bike trails and Truckee River access.

Agatam Beach
Hwy 28 in Tahoe Vista, Agatam Street
Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and BBQ Grills, 300 feet of Beach

Chambers Beach
One mile south of Homewood on Hwy 89. It is perfect for sunbathers, swimming, and picnicking. Access is limited to foot or bicycle traffic only, no public parking is available.

Commons Beach Park
Four-acre park located in downtown Tahoe City, on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Popular for sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking, it includes two children’s playgrounds located within a large lakefront lawn area. Rest Rooms & BBQ Grills also available. During the summer stop by every Friday at dusk and see a free movie!

Kilner Park
3.5 miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89. Kilner Park has a children’s playground, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, 300 feet of beach, walking and biking trails, picnic tables, a group picnic area, and restrooms.

Kings Beach State Rec. Center
Off Hwy 28. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills and Playgrounds long, wide beach, fairs, parking fee.

Lake Forest Beach Park
Located at the end of Bristlecone Avenue in Lake Forest, one mile East of Tahoe City. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills and Playgrounds. This park is a popular spot for swimming, sightseeing, bird watching, picnicking, and wind surfing with boat launch nearby (limited parking).

Moondunes Beach
Near Pino Grande Avenue, Tahoe Vista. Featuring: Rest Rooms and Picnic Area. 600 feet sunbathing & swimming beach.

National Avenue Beach
National Avenue in Tahoe Vista. Featuring: Picnic Area, BBQ Grills and Boat Launch.

North Tahoe Beach Center
By Safeway in Kings Beach, Hwy 28. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and BBQ Grills. There is a fee for the Clubhouse, offering sauna, 25′ hot tub, weights & more.

Patton Beach
Hwy 28 in Carnelian Bay. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and BBQ Grills.

Sand Harbor
South of Incline Village, NV. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills, Lifeguards and Boat Launch. Parking Fee.

Sandy Beach
Hwy 28 in Tahoe Vista. Campsites across highway.

Secline Beach
End of Secline Street, Kings Beach. Featuring: Picnic Area and BBQ Grills 600 feet of Beach.

Skylandia Park & Beach
24 acre park located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City, Hwy 28. Skylandia Park provides bike trails, hiking trails and picnicking facilities. The park also features a beach, pier, and swimming.

South Shore


Baldwin Beach
Hwy 89, 4 miles North of South Lake Tahoe “Y” Hwy 89/50 Junction. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and BBQ Grills. Admission fee $3.00, no dogs allowed.

Camp Richardson Beach
Hwy 89, 2½ miles North of South Lake Tahoe “Y”. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills, Boat Rentals, Food and Playgrounds. Parking fees.

Connolly Beach
Hwy 50 at Timber Cove Lodge. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and Boat Launch at nearby Marina. No Lifeguards.

El Dorado Beach
Between Rufus Allen & Lakeview. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills and Playgrounds. Boat launch subject to lake level, no lifeguards.

Emerald Bay Beach
Base of Emerald Bay, North of Camp Richardson, Hwy 89. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, One Mile Hike, Scenic, Pier and Vikingsholm Castle.

Fallen Leaf Lake
Fallen Leaf Lake Road, off Hwy 89. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills, Boat Launch and Fallen Leaf Lake Lodge.

Kiva Beach
Hwy 89 – 2½ miles North of Hwy 89/50 Junction. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills, Dogs Allowed.

Nevada Beach
Elk Point Road near Round Hill/Hwy 50. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills and Boat in at South end. No dogs allowed.

Pope Beach
Hwy 89, 2 miles North of South Lake Tahoe “Y”. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and BBQ Grills. Admission fee $3.00, no dogs allowed.

Regan Beach
West of Hwy 50 at Lakeview & Sac. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and Playgrounds. No dogs, fires or alcohol allowed.

Tallac Picnic Area
Hwy 89, 2½ miles North of South Lake Tahoe “Y”. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area and BBQ Grills. Dogs on leashes allowed.

Zephyr Cove Beach
Hwy 50 at Zephyr Cove. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills, Boat Rentals, Cruises and Food. Parking fees.

D. L. Bliss State Park

Elizabeth Williams Park
North of Kaspian Campground on Hwy 89. Longtime favorite of fisherman.

Emerald Bay
Hwy 89, South of Meeks Bay. Featuring: Rest Rooms, Picnic Area, Trails and Vikingsholm Castle.
